origami

Last night, I was up until 4am writing a paper for my class.  I got about 3 hours of sleep, and I was gonna take a nap right after the class.

But no. Josh (http://www.youtube.com/JugginsJosh) had to post a video about origami, and my Asian blood told me to show him how real origami is supposed to be done.  So I made a video response.

After I made the video, I realized how much I enjoy origami.  It’s totally relaxing, and the idea of turning something 2D into 3D is quite fascinating.  I used to spend hours and hours making random things with color paper when I was little.

For one of my aunts’ weddings, I made her an origami bouquet.  For my uncle’s wedding, I think I gave him a picture frame that had traditional Korean origami people.

I wish I had more time to do origami now.  Maybe I’ll make a video tutorial on an origami piece?  What do you think?

John Park on American Idol

So let’s talk about this sexy ass biatch, John Park.

He goes to my school, Northwestern University, and he’s on American Idol this season.

If you saw Tuesday night’s Chicago auditions, you definitely would remember John; I mean, Shania Twain was fangirling all over his “bottom” and “lips.” If you haven’t seen it yet, I’ve put some Annotations on my latest video on YouTube, including his audition and previous performances Northwestern.

The truth about John Park is that he’s not just about the looks; he’s very talented, as you probably heard, and he is a GREAT PERSON. I don’t know anyone who knows him and doesn’t like him; as a matter of fact, everybody loves him.  He is a celebrity material, and he totally deserves to be on the show.

Let’s all hope he goes far! Please join his Facebook fanpage for more updates.

new year’s eve; penguins

oooo new year’s eve!

you probably thought that i was gonna look back at 2009 and talk about things i did and i didn’t do… and such. however, i’m not gonna do that because who really cares? i don’t think i, myself, don’t even care.

so i’m gonna talk about penguins.

just about 10 minutes ago, i had a conversation with mommykim and daddykim.

daddykim actually thought that a penguins were mammals. seriously, daddykim? penguin = bird! so mommykim and i laughed, and we told him that penguins are birds.

daddykim : no way. you two are trying to fool me.

me : um… no. penguins are birds. their wings became finlike, they have beaks, some of them have duck-like feet…. they’re birds.

daddykim : are you sure? then what makes them so fuzzy? how can they swim underwater?

mommykim : i can swim underwater.

daddykim : because you’re a mammal.

me : i’m hungry.

so now i have to go cook. not a penguin though. think more towards… cows.

hope you had a great year, and see you next year :D !

O Holy Night

So, one day in Colorado, my friends, Eunice and Travis, and I got really bored…. Then, we sat by the piano and sang songs from “Defying Gravity” to “Oops I Did It Again!”  Somewhere between those two songs, this video was taped.

This song has always been my favorite Christmas song since I was a little kid.  I just wanted to sing it and share it with the world.  Hope you enjoy it; I know I had a lot of fun!

I am planning to make more Christmas related videos, but who knows what will come up.

Merry Christmas to all <3
